Hawks roped in to probe kidnapping of biokineticist in Gqeberha

Police in Gqeberha are searching for a biokineticist who was kidnapped outside of her workplace on Thursday morning.
News of the kidnapping soon spread like wildfire on social media with requests to the public to look out for a white Toyota Corolla which was allegedly involved.
Algoa FM News has been reliably informed that the Hawks have now taken over this investigation.
Eastern Cape Hawks spokesperson Yolisa Mgolodela told Algoa FM News that a suspect had been arrested and that Riana Pretorius had been found, however, when she was pressed for more information she later stated that her sources were unreliable and apologised for her error.
According to reports the vehicle was recovered in Deal Party, not too long after the incident.
Mgolodela says one suspect has been arrested and a firearm confiscated.
She says two other men are believed to be involved and the search for Pretorius is ongoing.
