The Hawks says it seized documents relating to a multimillion rand tender during a raid at the office of North West Premier Supra Mahumapelo on Thursday.
The Hawks in North West say it has seized substantial number of documents relating to alleged corruption at Mahumapelo's office.
"We found the documents that we were looking for which we believe that will assist us with this investigation," says spokesperson Tlangelani Rikhotso.
Alleged tender fraud relating a contract worth R160 million is being probed.
"We are obviously going to go through the pile of documents we took from the Premier's office, quite a lot of files we have to go through. We will perusing those and then from there we will compile our case we will summit to the NPA (National Prosecuting Authority)," Rikhotso says.
He says while it is a high priority case it is difficult to say if any arrests are imminent.
"We don't know what exactly what we going to find within those documents, and like I stated it is quite a lot of them. But we are looking to work on this as quick as possible. It is a high priority case."
