'He was an amazing husband': Mandoza's wife

The wife of the late kwaito star Mandoza, Mpho Tshabalala, says she will ensure her husband's legacy lives on by ensuring the success of their record company Nkalakatha Records.

It was an emotional morning in Pimville's Grace Bible Church where Mduduzi Tshabalala's funeral was held.
Thousands of people who loved Mandoza gathered to say their final goodbyes.
Friends and family spoke of the fond memories they have of Mandoza, describing him as a committed family man who loved his wife and children dearly.
His son Tokollo gave a glimpse of the close relationship he shared with his father.
His wife, Mpho, revealed that Mandoza passed away on her birthday. She vowed the ensure his legacy lives on.
"The last Saturday I spent with him, he could not eat the whole day. We prayed and prayed. Saturday night we didn't sleep...until the early hours of the morning and I said it's 5.15am and he said 'happy birthday baby'. He said 'I will give you a present today, I'm going to fight, I'm going to fight this battle, this sickness'," she said.
Mpho said she thanked God for giving her such an amazing husband.
"No matter what anyone says, he was an amazing husband and an amazing father and I will always cherish the time I had with him," she said.
