Heatwave to continue into new week
Updated | By Martine van der Walt Ehlers
There will be no immediate relief from ongoing heat wave
conditions as high temperatures persist over large parts of the country,
including in Gauteng.

The South African Weather Service says most of South Africa will continue to stay very hot until Tuesday.
"Pretoria will reach an expected high of 36 degrees Celsius on Monday and 34 on Tuesday,” says forecaster Mbavhi Maliage.
"In Johannesburg, a high of 33 is expected for Monday and 30 for Tuesday.”
But there are cooler conditions and rain in sight.
"We do have a weather system that will affect the country starting roughly from Wednesday
"Temperatures are expected to decrease over the most of the country, including Gauteng, on Wednesday, with Pretoria reaching an expected high of 29, Johannesburg 27"
"Going into Thursday, temperatures will decrease even further - Pretoria a high of 25 and Johannesburg 24.
"Rainfall is expected to start over parts of the country on Tuesday with a 30% chance of rain over Gauteng.”
"On Wednesday and Thursday it increases to a 60% chance of rain over the province.”
