Heavy rain, cold front hits Gauteng
Updated | By JacarandaFM News
The South Africa Weather Service has warned that heavy rain in Gauteng might lead to flooding in parts of the province.
The weather service has issued a warning of possible flash flooding in Gauteng.
Forecaster Victoria Nurse says the cloudy, rainy conditions will persist for the rest of the week.
"With heavy rain we are expecting anything above 50mm to fall, in some areas we have had 30mm and above already. We have a warning out for localised flooding. That is going to mainly affect your low laying areas, bridges and roads that are susceptible to flooding."
According to forecaster Edward Engelbrecht residents should brace themselves for another cold front on Thursday.
"The cold front is approaching us from the south-west. It coming from far out of the south and we are expecting it to cool down the temperatures across the country quite a bit."
The weather is expected to clear up at the weekend.
