Three vehicles were also swept away in Tshwane on Friday as a result of the floods that took place.
In one incident, two motor vehicles were trapped on the low water bridge in Rabie and End Street.
Spokesperson Charles Mabaso says both incidents occurred between 21:30 and midnight.
“Emergency Services found that vehicle occupants in both vehicles had escaped safely. One vehicle was only recovered on Sunday morning.”

In a separate incident, a Toyota Avanza was also swept away at a water bridge in Olievenhoutbosch. However, occupants in both incidents escaped unharmed.
Mabaso has urged motorists to avoid driving through low-lying areas when there is flooding.
"We have made repeated calls for motorists to avoid attempting to cross flooded low water bridges as they may risk their lives, the occupants and cause damage or loss of their vehicles."
