Hillary Gardee to be laid to rest on Saturday
Updated | By Sibahle Motha
The daughter of former EFF secretary-general Godrich Gardee will be laid to rest this weekend.
Hillary Gardee's family says she was shot execution-style after she went missing in Mbombela on Friday.
Her lifeless body was eventually found in bushes outside the city on Tuesday.
Police in Mpumalanga, who have since confirmed that the 28-year-old sustained a gunshot to the upper body, have launched a manhunt for the young woman’s killers.
No arrests have been made so far.

EFF spokesperson Sinawo Tambo, who spoke outside the Gardee family home in Mbombela on Thursday, said the funeral will take place on Saturday.
The party will extend individual invites to the funeral in an attempt to curb the number of mourners.
"We want to urge the members of the public to respect the proceedings of the family on Saturday, so let's not cause a stampede or flood the funeral. We will be extending invites and we do understand that this is a national tragedy. Let's also have a sense of humanity and respect that the family is in mourning and not turn the burial of Hillary Gardee into a spectacle."
The motive for the killing is not yet known.
