Hoërskool Eldoraigne principal reinstated due to lack of evidence

The Gauteng Education Department says it’s investigation into the principal’s conduct at Hoërskool Eldoraigne did not generate enough evidence.
This comes after parents at the school allegedly signed a petition to remove Dr Anton Prinsloo as principal after he was accused of misconduct.
It included the victimisation of staff members and threating to have them fired.
Gauteng Education spokesperson Steve Mabona says that staff members failed to submit statements.
“It should be noted that our further investigation could not yield positive results, as the employees could not substantiate the allegations against the principal. They were then asked to submit written statements regarding their complaints, however, only two employees submitted statements, but the statements were more generic.”
Mabona further revealed that some of the complainants would not testify should the principal be charged.
“We emphasised to them that should it happen that he is charged, they will be requested to testify to substantiate the allegations. They stood their ground that they cannot testify in the disciplinary hearing”
“It was then recommended that the principal should return, because we cannot keep someone away from his/her duties, without probable action. So with lack of a evidence we could not pursue these charges.”
