Home affairs reinstates visa-free status to USA, UK, Italy and others
Updated | By Gaopalelwe Phalaetsile
The Department of Home Affairs has reinstated the visa-free status of several countries.
This is in line with level 1 lockdown regulations which allow for international travel under strict Covid-19 protocols.
Citizens of South Korea, Spain, Italy, Germany, Hong Kong, Singapore, USA, UK, France, Portugal and Iran can now travel to South Africa again without having to provide a travel visa.

The USA, France and the UK are on South Africa's list of high-risk countries and the department says the exemption of visas does not change the fact that holidaymakers from these countries will not be allowed into South Africa.
All visitors will still be required to produce a 72-hour negative Covid-19 test certificate.
The department says the certificate is valid for 14 days.
