Provincial police spokesperson Mohale Ramatseba says the beer has been sent for forensic testing.
"A 42-year-old woman was found dead in the flat and the 54-year-old man was found in pain yesterday and was rushed to hospital where later died."
The deaths come amid a ban on the sale of alcohol as government battles to bring the number of coronavirus infections under control.
