Hot, humid and stormy along the coast

WARNINGS:

1. Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the western and central parts of the Northern Cape, as well as the north-western parts of the Central Karoo of the Western Cape.

WATCHES:

1. Severe thunderstorms are expected along the eastern escarpment of the Eastern Cape.

SPECIAL WEATHER ADVISORIES:

1. Hot and humid weather will result in extremely uncomfortable conditions over the north eastern parts of KwaZulu-Natal.

Eastern Cape: Partly cloudy and warm to hot with isolated thunderstorms, but scattered in the north-east. The wind along the coast will be light easterly becoming moderate to fresh south-easterly.

EASTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE:  Partly cloudy and warm with isolated thunderstorms, but scattered in the north. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate north-easterly, but fresh in the afternoon.
