Hout Bay officer shoots wife, kills himself

A police officer has shot and killed his wife and himself at the Hout Bay police station in the Western Cape.

It's believed that the officer's wife was gunned down while visiting her husband at his work place on Wednesday.
It's understood that the incident happened during an apparent domestic dispute.
Police spokesperson Andre Traut says an investigation into the incident has already begun.
"The circumstances surrounding the death of a police sergeant, aged 41, and his wife, aged 36, are under police investigation following an incident at the Hout Bay police station this morning.
"It's alleged that the sergeant was visited at the police station where her husband shot and killed her. The sergeant then shot and killed himself.
"The sergeant was on duty at the time of the incident."
