How long you'll have to wait before you can toke at home

Friday's landmark ruling in the Western Cape High Court, declaring it an infringement to ban the use of dagga by adults in private homes, could be challenged.
This ruling allows for the possession, cultivation and use of dagga at home, for private use.
The court also ruled that Parliament has to change sections of the Drug Trafficking Act, as well as the Medicines Control Act within the next 24 months.
Parliament spokesperson Moloto Mothapo says the Constitutional Court must also still confirm this judgment with the possibility of the State appealing the ruling.
The leader of the Dagga Party says he had a dream that dagga would one day be legalised in South Africa.
Jeremy Acton and others led the successful application to decriminalise the drug.
