Huge fuel price relief for motorists
Updated | By Martine van der Walt Ehlers
Motorists can breathe a sigh of
relief ahead of the December holidays thanks to a significant drop in the fuel
price.

The Department of Energy announced on Sunday that the price of both grades of petrol will decrease by R1.88 on Wednesday.
Diesel will decrease by between R1.45 and R1.47, while paraffin will be R1.78 cheaper.
Spokesperson Robert Maake attributed the hike to the strengthening of the rand against the US dollar, amongst others.
"The main reason for the drop in the fuel price is the lower crude oil prices during the time under review.
"It must also be noted that the department adjusted industry margins. Retail margins on petrol increased by around 7.7 cents per litre and the wholesale price of diesel and illuminating paraffin also increased by 4.59 cents per litre."
These are annual adjustments that are done in December of every year.
