Hursthill reservoir makes significant recovery after “critically” low levels

The Hursthill 2 reservoir has made a significant recovery after it was “critically low to empty” on Friday.
Joburg Water spokesperson Puleng Mopeli says the recovery comes after interventions were made by Joburg Water.
“The Hursthill two reservoirs were critically low to empty yesterday however there is substantial progress made on the system.

“This is due to interventions by Johannesburg Water content to implement every night. Johannesburg Water urges customers to remain active partners. Reduce consumption as this has contributed positively in the recovery of the system. “
The Hursthill reservoir supplies Sophiatown, Westbury, Westdene, Auckland Park, Melville and Coronationville.
