ID dismisses report of Mantashe's imminent arrest
Updated | By Martine van der Walt Ehlers
The Investigating Directorate has refuted a Sunday World article on the imminent arrest of ANC chairperson and Minister of Mineral Resources, Gwede Mantashe.

The article stated that the arrest is related to alleged Bosasa-funded security upgrades at Mantashe's properties in Gauteng and the Eastern Cape.
ID spokesperson Henry Mamothame, however, said it has not decided nor discussed any such actions.
"The ID does not comment on its investigations and it is important that a misstatement attributed to its office must be corrected," Mamothame said.
"It is unclear where these comments come from, but they are not from the ID.
"The ID will continue to do its work without fear, favour or prejudice and should be given the space to do so without any unnecessary and unwarranted speculations.”
