Chairperson of the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) Glen Mashinini says it has kept its side of bargain amid a wage dispute ahead of election day.
Workers represented by trade union Nehawu have vowed to down tools on Wednesday as the country heads to the polls.
IEC employees are unhappy with their wages.

Mashinini spoke to media at the Dainfern College, where he cast his special vote on Monday morning.
“With respect to matters that are related to labour issues, the CEO is in discussion with labour unions about those matters and when we are ready to finalise the issues, then they will be reported.
“From our side as a commission, we do not have what one would say are outstanding issues on matters of salaries,” said Mashinini.
The IEC has also cautioned communities or organisations planning to protest on election day.
Mashinini says any such action would be illegal.
“The laws are very clear on that aspect that as far as elections are concerned certain conduct is prohibited irrespective of whether the person is a worker or otherwise.”
