IFP to table a motion for the scrapping of e-tolls

The Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) in Ekurhuleni has joined calls for the scrapping of e-tolls on Gauteng highways.

The party's spokesperson Alco Ngobese says it will not rest until controvertial system is no more.
Ngobese says they plan to table a motion in this regard, to be debated by the Council of the City of Ekurhuleni on Thursday.
"From the beginning we always knew that the e-tolls will have a negative impact on the poor of the poor," says Ngobese.
He added if the national government refused to adhere to the scrapping of e-tolls, the IFP will have no choice but to take its protest to the streets of Gauteng.
