Illovo street closures for Mandela Lecture
Updated | By Nathan Daniels
Parts of various streets in the Illovo area of Johannesburg will be closed around the Wanderers Stadium on Tuesday for the annual Nelson Mandela Lecture.

Former US President Barack Obama will lead the tributes in honor of the late struggle icon Nelson Mandela who would have turned 100 years old on Wednesday.
While digniataries and heads of state descend on the area, the message from Johannesburg Metro Police is for motorists to rather avoid the area, if possible.
According to JMPD's Edna Mamoyane, Corlett Drive in Illovo will be closed until 11 pm.
"There will be traffic officers that will show motorists where to go. Corlett will be closed and residents will be diverted. We would like for people to avoid that area. If you don't really need to be around that area, please try and avoid it."
President Cyril Ramaphosa and Mandela's widow, Graça Machel will speak alongside Obama.
