Updated | By Sibahle Motha
The family of slain Tshegofatso Pule has called for Ntuthuko Shoba to be handed a life sentence following his conviction of premeditated murder.
Shoba was found guilty of Pule’s murder in the High Court in Johannesburg on Friday.
Shortly after judgment was handed down, Pule's sister Tsepa Pule said they’re elated that justice has finally been served.
"I'm so happy, it's been two years. People thought we were lying, especially his family who was here supporting him thinking we were lying. My sister got justice, I am so happy."
Lobby movement #NotInMyName has also added its voice following the long-awaited judgment.

Secretary-general Themba Masango says the organisation looks forward to Shoba's sentencing.
"We applaud all those who were involved in making sure that this case finally gets to this clear guilty verdict. We look forward to the sentencing and want to state that, nothing less than a life sentence will be acceptable.
It's been two years since Pule was killed by Muzikayise Malepane, who was hired by Shoba to kill his pregnant girlfriend.
Malepane admitted in court that he first shot Pule before he hung her on a tree in an open field in Roodepoort.
Shoba will be sentenced on 10 May.
