Increase in fuel prices for February
Updated | By Mmangaliso Khumalo
Petrol and diesel will cost a bit more in February after the Department of Energy announced fuel price increases on Tuesday.

This is the second fuel price increase since the start of the year.
On Wednesday, both grades of petrol will increase by 82 cents per litre, diesel by between R1,01 cents and R1,05 cents per litre, and illuminating paraffin by R1,29 cents per litre.
Meanwhile, LP gas will go up by 42 cents per kilogram.
The department’s spokesperson, Robert Maake, says the increase is due to higher oil prices and the weaker rand against the US dollar.
"The shipping cost for LP gas was higher on average during the period under review. However, the slate levy remains unchanged at zero cents per litre in the price structures for both petrol and diesel."
