Inquiry launched over gun-carrying teacher

Police have
opened an inquiry into the 26-year-old teacher who was caught on video invigilating a mid-year examination while holding a gun in his hand.
The incident took place at the Mabusabesala Secondary School in Weltevrede in the Dr JS Moroka Local Municipality - while the grade 11s were writing their tourism paper.
The Limpopo Department of Education says the teacher has been suspended.
Police spokesperson, Mtsholi Bhembhe says statements from witnesses are currently being recorded.

"According to our systems, it appears that there is no firearm registered to the person in question but like I said, we have opened an inquiry we are busy with it and we'll take it from there," said Bhembhe.
Bhembhe says the inquiry is to establish facts before opening a case.
"We have to check if there are grounds and that case must be opened. You know things can happen sometimes and people do doctor things."
