Cabinet has approved publication for public comment of the draft National Intellectual Property Policy.
Cabinet has approved publication for public comment of the draft National Intellectual Property Policy.
"The policy aims to holistically align and address the various issues relating to intellectual property, which cut across various disciplines, including trade, science, agriculture, and health," acting government spokeswoman Phumla Williams told journalists in Pretoria on Monday.
The media briefing followed Cabinet's fortnightly meeting last Wednesday.
Williams did not give a publication date for the policy.
She said there was "a need for a one-policy approach at national and international level from government".
There would be a 30-day period, from the date of publication, for public comment.
