Ipid investigating Worcester cops in assault video

The Independent Police Investigative Directorate (Ipid) is investigating two police officers who were caught on video assaulting two men with a sjambok in Worcester in Western Cape.

Ipid spokesperson, Ndileka Cola, says the organisation has identified the Anti-Gang Unit members captured in the video footage.
"But the two individuals one being searched, slapped and another sjamboked are yet-to-be-identified and interviewed by Ipid investigators as part of the investigation process," says Cola.
