Israel responds to Syria rocket fire with artillery fire

Israel launched artillery and air strikes against Syrian army positions in the Golan Heights on Thursday night in response to rocket fire, military sources said.

The Israeli army has launched five to six artillery and air strikes against Syrian army positions in the Golan Heights, the sources said, after four rockets landed in the north of the Jewish state and the occupied Golan, in attacks that did not cause casualties.
