It looks like an inside job in the Hawks - Mbalula
Updated | By Pieter van der Merwe
Police Minister Fikile Mbalula believes the recent burglary at the Hawks' head office in Pretoria was an inside job.

Various computers were stolen during the incident, while the priority crime unit raised concern over how the suspects gained entry.
The minister further believes it was not an isolated incident, linking the matter with a recent incident at the Gauteng Premier's office, where a section of the building was set alight.
He also mentioned a recent break-in at a government building in the Eastern Cape.
"It looks like corrupt people are basically, you know, trying to kill any trace of their deeds by way of burning down buildings and the material that is there in those building," says Mbalula.
Mbalula however believes arrests are imminent.
Parliament has meanwhile summoned the acting Hawks head Yolisa Matakata to explain to the legislature how a break-in could occur at offices belonging to the unit charged with fighting organised crime.
