Jabu Mabuza appointed as interim Eskom CEO

Minister of Public Enterprises Pravin Gordhan has appointed Jabu Mabuza as interim CEO of struggling power utility Eskom.
Mabuza, who is also the chairperson of the ailing power utility, will act as CEO for three months.
He is succeeding Phakamani Hadebe, who is leaving Eskom at the end of July.

"Within the three month period during which Mr Mabuza will be the Executive Chairman and Acting CEO, the Eskom board will conclude the process of identifying a suitable candidate to become the next Eskom GCEO," Gordhan said in a statement.
