Jacob Khawe tests positive for Covid-19
The provincial secretary of the African National Congress (ANC) in Gauteng Jacob Khawe has tested positive for Covid-19.
Spokesperson for the provincial ANC Bones Modise says Khawe is now isolating at home.
“The provincial secretary is now self-isolating and will take another test once his isolation period ends. We urge everyone to take care and be safe as we all know that Covid-19 is real and the third wave is extremely dangerous.”

Gauteng has been the hardest hit province during the third wave, with daily Covid-19 infections being recorded at 16 000 a day last week.
However the pvovince’s trajectory is starting to change.
On Monday, 7 543 new cases were recorded in the province while a total of 12 513 new cases were recorded nationwide.
