Covid-19 vaccinations: Almost 3,5 million jabs administered in SA
South Africa has administered a record 137,367 Covid-19 vaccines over the past 24 hours.
This is the most vaccines administered in one day and a vast improvement compared to the 8 313 shots administered the previous day.
The latest data takes the country’s total vaccines administered to 3,459,660.
While the speed of government’s inoculation campaign has come under fire, the Department of Health says it's trying to vaccinate as many people as possible.
In the last 24 hours, Gauteng has administered 30,040 jabs, followed by KwaZulu-Natal with 28,042
and the Western Cape with 25,040.
