JMPD officer nabbed for murder
A Johannesburg metro police officer has been arrested in connection with the killing of a motorist in Cosmo City, north of the city, on Thursday.
Metro police spokesperson Wayne Minnaar says the off-duty cop was involved in an altercation with the motorist after they nearly crashed into one another.
"The incident occurred at approximately 7:50 pm when the off duty officer was allegedly making a U-turn and nearly bumped the blue Nissan Almera.

"The driver of the Almera chased behind the officer and there was words exchanged and the occupants of the Almera tried to disarm the officer and the officer shot at the Almera multiple times."
Minnaar says the police in Honeydew and Independent Police Investigative Directorate (Ipid) will be investigating the incident.
