Four officials from the Johannesburg Metro Police Department (JMPD) have tested positive for Covid-19.
Three officers are in quarantine while the fourth one is in self-isolation at home.
JMPD spokesperson, Wayne Minnaar, says one officer fell ill at work last week Wednesday.
Minnaar adds the officer was tested at the Milpark Hospital and the results came back positive.
"The officer has been discharged and is now in quarantine at one of the medical facilities in the City which specialises in the treatment of Covid-19 patients," says Minnaar.
He adds that by Monday afternoon, 107 officers were tested and those tests came back positive for the other three officers.
