Emergency repairs to impact water supply in parts of Joburg

Johannesburg Water has warned residents feeding from the Linden reservoirs and towers of water supply issues due to repairs at the local treatment plant.
The emergency shutdown is scheduled for Friday from 8am.
It is expected to last until 6pm.
The outlets of the systems (Linden reservoirs and tower) will be opened during repairs to supply water.
“Customers in the tower zone will be impacted with no water earlier in the day due to the reduced capacity of the tower," the utility said in a statement.
Affected areas include Aldarapark, Blackheath, Blairgowrie, Bordeaux, Craighall Park, Cresta, Darrenwood, Ferndale, Fontainebleau, Jacanlee, Kensington B, Linden, Lyme Park, President Ridge, Risidale, Robin Acres, Robindale, Victory Park and Windsor, Fairlands, Kelland, Malanshof, Moret, Randpark, Robinhills, Ruiterhof, Strijdom Park, Windsor and Windsor Glen.
