Joost van der Westhuizen's family remembers a legend

Joost van der Westhuizen has died after a long battle with motor neuron disease. He was 45 years-old.
The J9 Foundation's Claire Kary confirmed the news.
"He passed away at his house with his loved ones around him," says Kary.

Jacaranda FM News spoke to the former Springbok's family last year.
His father, Gustav, fondly remembered the first time he saw his son in the Springbok jersey.
Joost's mother, Mariana van der Westhuizen, remembered her son's primary school days and said that he was a mischievous little boy.
