Judgement expected in Naidoo murder appeal
Updated | By Staff Writer
Judgement is expected in the Nelspruit circuit of the High Court in Pretoria in an appeal by Durban gang leader Yegen Naidoo against his conviction and double life sentence for murder.

Naidoo, 45, is out on R250,000 bail pending the outcome of the appeal, on new evidence, a Sapa correspondent reported.
The court found him guilty of murdering Patricia Pillay and her nine-year-old granddaughter, Yetska, who were killed in their sleep in Valencia, outside Mbombela, on December 23, 2006.
Naidoo appeared in court on Tuesday to formally deliver a written submission and evidence suggesting that he was framed.
This included details of his alibi on the day the murder was planned, a statement by a witness, proof that the man he accused of framing him faked three plane tickets, and proof of the origin of the hand grenades used in the attack.
