Judgement in Joost case expected

The North Gauteng High Court in Pretoria in on Wednesday expected to give judgement in the case involving rugby legend Joost van der Westhuizen, who wants R385,665, which he claims his former lawyer owed him.
Van der Westhuizen, who is suffering from motor neuron disease, wants the Attorney’s Fidelity Fund to pay him the money immediately.
According to reports, his former lawyer allegedly committed suicide in December last year.
The former Springbok captain wants to recover money he held in a trust account. Attorney’s Fidelity Fund said Van der Westhuizen had to wait his turn and claim it from his lawyer’s estate.
