July fuel price hike announced
Updated | By Jacaranda FM News
Motorists will be forking out more for petrol in July.

The price of petrol 93 octane will increase by 11 cents a litre and 95 octane by 8 cents a litre as of Wednesday, the energy department announced.
The price of diesel will increase by between 41 and 42 cents a litre.
Energy department spokesperson Robert Maake said: "The main reason for this increase is the increase in the price of petroleum products in the international market this following slight increase in the price of crude oil."
He said the strengthening of the rand against the dollar offset what could have been a heftier price increase.
"The strengthening of the rand actually cushioned the prices by more than 18 cents a litre."
Brexit also had an impact on the fuel price adjustments, Maake confirmed.
