‘Kidnapped’ City Power technician found
City Power on Thursday confirmed that their technician, who was believed to have been kidnapped by a group of suspects, has been found.
He was found unharmed after disappearing while on duty in Lenasia on Wednesday.
Spokesperson Isaac Mangena says if attacks on their technicians continue, they will not hesitate to terminate their services in 'dangerous areas'.
"The two colleagues he was with are also receiving counselling. We cannot provide further details on the matter as it is now being handled by the police.
"The vehicle they travelled in was also found in Loli, at an informal settlement called Kokotela. It was stripped.
"When our teams are being threatened, the residents will suffer with electricity as we will not be able to respond to some of the incidents reported in those areas.”
