‘Kidnapped’ Gqeberha biokinetcist found unharmed
The Hawks in Gqerbha have confirmed the safe return of biokineticist Riana Pretorius.
She was found unharmed in the early hours of Friday morning
Three armed men allegedly kidnapped Pretorius outside of her place of work last week Thursday.
The suspects demanded a ransom of R2 million ransom for the 26-year-old’s safe return.
Hours after her abduction, one of the suspects was arrested at Deal Party and a firearm was confiscated.
Hawks spokesperson Yolisa Mgolodela has confirmed her release.
“Finer details are not there yet but from the information received I got the confirmation that they did rescue her, and I am still waiting for an updated report.”
