The trial of the man dubbed the "Modimolle Monster" and his three co-accused is set to continue in the High Court in Pretoria on Friday.

Johan Kotze is accused of mutilating and orchestrating the gang-rape of his ex-wife Ina Bonnette, and of murdering his stepson Conrad, 19, on January 3, 2012.

On Thursday, one of the men Kotze allegedly forced to rape his wife said another of the accused claimed they were lucky to be able to sleep with a white woman.

Sello Mphaka said: "Andries [Sithole] said where will you ever see a white person giving his wife to black people? We're lucky.

Now we can experience how it feels [to have sex with a white woman]."

Mphaka told the court that he did not have sex with Bonnette, despite threats from Kotze.

"I went to lie on her. I pulled down my zip, but my penis was still in my underpants.

"Kotze pulled me away because he could see what I was doing. He called [Piet] Mohlane, who also lay on top of her with his pants still on," he said.

Sithole, Mohlane, and Mphaka are accused of kidnapping, assaulting, repeatedly raping, and attempting to murder Bonnette.

Kotze faces a further charge of murder after he allegedly shot dead Bonnette's son on the day of the attack.

All four have pleaded not guilty to the charges.
