This amid the fallout over the firms work with the Gupta family, as well as the South African Revenue Services (SARS).

An investigation by KPMG International has found no evidence of illegal behaviour or corruption by KPMG partners or staff, relating to work the company did for the Gupta family.

KPMG however says the investigation did find work that fell short of the company's standards.

The company has appointed Nhlamu Dlomu as the new CEO.

She was previously KPMG's South Africa's Head of People and Change.

"She is a highly experienced partner, with extensive client experience, leading significant transformation in the Financial Services and other industry sectors in South Africa and overseas," says KPMG in a statement.
