Krejcir's wife, son in court

Czech fugitive Radovan Krejcir's wife Katerina Krejcirova and son Dennis Krejcir appeared briefly in the Specialised Commercial Crime Court in Pretoria on Monday.

The case was postponed to March 20, for further investigation.

They were arrested on Friday in connection with an alleged stolen car found on their property.

They were both released on a warning the same day, after Krejcirova lodged an urgent application at the High Court in Pretoria.

She was arrested at the Palm Ridge Magistrate's Court while attending her husband's bail application.

Black-haired Krejcirova twiddled her fingers as her lawyer opposed the State's application for a postponement.

Dennis Krejcir, who was dressed in jeans and a jacket, bowed his head while he listened to the proceedings.

The State said the postponement would enable the police to further investigate the case.

Krejcirova's lawyer said the car was found on business premises in the Vaal.

"The investigating officer was told that the managing director can give an explanation about the car.... The police effect an arrest without  investigating," said the lawyer.

The State alleges that the two bought a Volkswagen Amarok using falsified documents.

After their appearance, they braved a drizzle to walk to their white Mercedes-Benz, which was parked about 200 metres from the court.
