A 46 year old man accused of raping a girl after luring her into his house appeared in court in the Krugersdorp Magistrate's Court on Wednesday.

A 46-year-old man accused of raping a nine-year-old girl appeared in the Krugersdorp Magistrate's Court on Wednesday, Gauteng police said. The man would appear in court again next week. He would remain in custody, said Warrant Officer Solomon Sibiya.
"The suspect allegedly lured the child into his house, which is a few metres away from her home. He then allegedly raped her, after which he gave her R10 not to tell anyone." On Monday night, two neighbours of the child's mother, who lives in Kagiso Extension 12, asked her whether her daughter had told her about the rape.
"When they realised that the complainant, the mother, was not informed, they insisted that the child tell her in their presence," said Sibiya. The police were contacted and the man was arrested at his home on Tuesday night, he said.
