Western Cape police are investigating the deaths of three family members in Kuilsriver.

A 48-year-old man allegedly shot and killed his 44-year-old wife and 15-year-old daughter on Sunday morning before turning the gun on himself.
According to Action Society leader Ian Cameron, the man asked his 23-year-old son to shoot him, but the son refused and ran away.
He then alerted the police.
Western Cape police spokesperson Joseph Swartbooi says they are investigating two counts of murder.
"Upon arrival at the scene, police found victims had sustained gunshot wounds to their bodies. The trio were declared deceased on the scene by the medical personnel. The circumstances surrounding the incident are still unclear at this stage."
