KZN ANC positive about outcome of PEC court appeal
Updated | By Steve Bhengu
The KZN ANC's PEC says it’s confident of a 'favourable outcome' when its appeal of a ruling on the party's 2015 provincial elective conference goes before the Pietermaritzburg High Court on Monday.
In September, the same court declared the conference unlawful and the decisions taken at the gathering invalid.
Addressing journalists in Durban today, the party’s Mdumiseni Ntuli disputed reports the ANC's National Working Committee had intervened and offered a solution between them and the so-called rebels who took the KZN leadership to court.
"As national officials, they were clear from the onset. They can't be the ones who are going to invent and transport solutions from the head office. They are a leadership that must help find a solution to the problems we are facing," he says.
