KZN man held for child porn after raid on home

Police spokesperson Colonel Jay Naicker said the man was arrested in Pietermaritzburg on Sunday and detained overnight at the Pinetown police station.
He was expected to appear in court later on Monday on charges of being in possession of child pornography and contravening the Film and Publications Act.
Naicker said the arrest followed investigations and an August 2014 raid on the man’s home in Durban’s plush Kloof suburb.
“He was found in possession of a memory stick with child pornography consisting of children as young as 3-years-old.
"Detectives steered the investigation for months to gather enough evidence to present a thoroughly investigated and well prepared docket for prosecution,” said Naicker.
