A man who killed and mutilated an elderly man was sentenced to 15 years in prison by the Inkanyezi Magistrate's Court on Wednesday, KwaZulu-Natal police said.
Maphela Zondi, 52, was attacked by Nhlakanipho Ximba, 23, on April 9 2012, Captain Thulani Zwane said.
Ximba had accused Zondi of practising witchcraft.
Zondi's body was found the following day near a road in the Ndulinde area.
"His arms were cut off from his body," Zwane said.
Police arrested Ximba in the Sundumbili area.
Zondi's arms were recovered from a tree at Ximba's homestead.
