KZN pastor sentenced to 20 years for rape

A 40-year-old KwaZulu-Natal pastor has begun serving a 20-year sentence for rape.

Sibusiso Gerald Nyathikazi was sentenced by the Ulundi Regional Court on Monday.
He's said to have lured a 19-year-old woman to his home in Nquthu three years ago under the guise of spiritual guidance.
It's believed he then pleaded with the survivor not to tell anyone out of fear it would destroy his reputation.
But, according to police, the man raped the woman again later that same year at a church event.
She broke her silence and told her family what had happened.
They then went to the police station to open a case.
