Large parts of Joburg set to be without power
City Power says several neighbourhoods will be without power due to maintenance work on Saturday.
Twenty-seven neighbourhoods in Johannesburg will experience planned power interruption on Saturday.
City Power's Sol Masolo says the power interruption is due to essential maintenance work.
"The interruption will start from 06h00 and end at 12h00 on Saturday. We are looking at making a plan so that we do not interrupt Milpark Hospital."
Masolo says residents should be aware that power supply could be restored at any time.
"It is normal cause of business that you have to now-and-then upgrade the network and do maintenance work. It's like taking your car to the service. Customers are however urged to treat their electricity supply points as live at all times."
