Last chance for incomplete 2019 applications: NSFAS
Updated | By Sandile Zikhali
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) says some 55 000 applications it's received for tertiary funding next year may be rejected due to missing documents.

NSFAS has recorded about 400 000 applications.
The scheme's Kagisho Mamabolo says they've been communicating with applicants via SMS and will continue to do so until January, after the matric results are released.
He says prospective students need to check the status of their applications on the NSFAS website as they only have until Friday to submit the outstanding documents.
"Some of the documents that are found to be missing are certified copies of IDs and proof of income where applicable."
Mamabolo says a consent form is also needed to verify that the parents are employed.
"We urge everyone that they must submit these documents - failure which will result in their applications not being concluded.”
