Last day to apply for NSFAS funding

The Department's Ismail Mnisi says NYDA offices will be open until 2pm on Saturday in a final push for application to be received on time.
The Department of Higher Education says it has partnered with the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) for prospective students to be able to apply for National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) funding.
This as the Department has already received more than 400,000 applications, peaking at up to 22,000 per day this week. .

Saturday is the last day to apply for funding for tertiary students at public universities and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) colleges.
The Department's Ismail Mnisi says NYDA offices will be open until 2pm on Saturday in a final push for application to be received on time.
"NDSFAS entered into a partnership with the NYDA to use their centres to assist all those applicants who may not have applied yet, particularly those who do not have internet access and those in rural areas," says Mnisi.
